Final Reflection:

Now that I’m at the end of the course, thinking back at when I started, I didn’t know much about the concepts of UDL. I would think it was more about the material and how it was structured. One of my goals was to understand the UDL’s core principles: Engagement is the why of learning, to foster the interest in the topics of the class; Representation helps learners comprehend what is being facilitated using different ways like audio, printed materials, etc.; and finally, Action and Expression that is the how the participants can show what they learned.
During the course I’ve been applying some of the concepts to a few of my admin onboarding materials, as my deliverables to some of the modules, and this was another one of my goals, and I plan to continue applying the concepts to the other process docs we have at our department.
